"FIRE IN PLAKIAS"
Am 10. Mai 2015 um 05:30h,wurde ein grosser Teil der Tavernas an der Meerseite durch einen Grossbrand zerstört.
Glücklicherweise wurde niemand verletzt.
Dieses Ereignis hat mich zu diesen Arbeiten inspiriert.

"FIRE IN PLAKIAS, CRETE"
Il 10 maggio 2015 alle 5:30, scoppiò un furioso incendio alimentato dal vento che distrusse in poco tempo gran parte delle taverne sul lungomare. Per fortuna nessuno rimase ferito. Fu però un duro colpo per il villaggio turistico di Plakias che si preparava all'inizio della stagione.
Questo evento, di cui fui testimone diretto, mi ha ispirato questi lavori.

"FIRE IN PLAKIAS"
On the early morning of May 10th, the lovely town of Plakias in Crete caught fire. The fire completely wiped out a few local tavernas.
Luckily, nobody was hurt! However, the tavernas is what keeps the place going, attracts visitors, builds economy, and feeds the locals after the season is over.
This fire inspired me to this works.
